Even in the darkest nights, there is always a light to guide us forward.

The Story

This year has been marked by deep challenges for me... I’ve been let down in emotionally painful ways. Yet I know I’m not alone in this. Many of us walk through seasons where life feels heavy, and in those moments, we search for something steady.

Reflected Light was my way of creating a visual reminder of hope. A minimalist composition; free of noise and distraction, where a single lighthouse rises quietly from the water, reflecting light into the night.

The Process

  • Base image: Ludington Lighthouse (Michigan)
  • Star field: my own astrophotography archive
  • Pier removed for balance
  • Waterline raised for serenity
  • Subtle tonal grading for stillness and contemplation
  • No AI — all elements from my own photography

The Intent

2025 has held its share of heavy moments. This piece was born as my response: a simple, steady beacon to fix your eyes on when the noise of life grows loud.

There is an underlying message here; intentional but quiet. Not in words, but in feeling. Light guiding through darkness. Peace found in stillness. Hope breaking through when least expected.
