Read the Story Behind the Image
The sun was just beginning to rise and was peeking over the horizon. We were staying in St. Ignace and I was hoping to catch a sunrise over Mackinac Island, but I apparently didn't plan very well. The island is just out of the right side of the frame.
Oh well. I still really like the one. It's always a joy to be one of the first people to greet the sun.
