Read the Story Behind the Image
It was finally sunny after days of heavy cloud cover. The patches of blue in the sky were reflected in the river, only interrupted by the trails of bubbly foam winding their way downstream.
Early bits of fall color were beginning to show in the trees lining the river, complementing the 'root beer' colored falls, stained from the tannins leaching from the cedar swamp at the beginning of the river.
The patterns the foam made in the water mesmerized me as they trailed lazily down the river.
